When you receive a text or email notification that your package has arrived at a carrier facility, this means the package has reached its final destination before being delivered to you. Depending on how long your package will travel, it may go through a few different carrier facilities.
How does Purolator handle missed deliveries?
In the event that my package is not delivered, what will I do? In the case of residential deliveries, a notice will be left advising the recipient where to pick up the shipment. For a maximum of 5 business days, your shipment will be held at our shipping location. There may be some exceptions.
What happens if FedEx cannot deliver a package?
In the event that you are not at home to sign for your package, a door tag will be left at your door and the driver may reattempt delivery. Sign up for FedEx Delivery Manager to ensure that no deliveries are missed. You can sign electronically or provide special instructions for delivery.

Is a second attempt possible today? Two deliveries cannot be made on the same day. If necessary, your driver may attempt to deliver the package a second time the following business day. UPS Access PointsTM are UPS locations where your shipment can be picked up.
When UPS delivery doesn’t occur at your home, what happens?
Your package can either be left at a UPS store or at an Access Point® location, or your instructions can be changed. After you miss a delivery, you can sign and place back where the delivery driver left your UPS InfoNotice®.
When USPS delivers a package without a signature, what happens?
Letter carriers will leave a notice when they attempt to deliver an item if no one is available to take delivery. It is the carrier’s policy to deliver mail to anyone in that address who receives mail if the sender hasn’t requested Restricted Delivery or Adult Signature.
USPS packages will be left at your door?
If there is no sign-for requirement, then yes. A package that requires a signature will be left with you and delivered the next day, for someone to sign for it. A package will be left in your mailbox or at your door without any further action.

If you are experiencing missing mail or missing packages, you can contact the USPS Customer Care Center on Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8:30 PM and on Saturday from 8 AM to 6 PM EST at 1; however, the fastest way to get help is by calling the local post office.
